Ron Salazar

Life Coach, Licensed Unity Teacher (LUT)

I began my spiritual journey in 1988 when I first stepped onto the 12-Step spiritual path. The central principle of the 12 Steps is that through spiritual awakening and maintaining conscious contact with our true selves, we can connect to the spiritual power that resides within all of us. The profound spiritual gift I received from the 12-Step path was the understanding that "there is a power and wisdom within me that only I can access. It is through my own perspective and fortitude that I can deepen my conscious connection to the Divine Truth and Strength within me."

This gift stayed with me, guiding me throughout my spiritual journey. In the late 1990s, I was drawn to Unity’s New Thought teachings, where I discovered deeper truths that resonated with me and affirmed I was walking my true spiritual path. The foundational principles of Unity—Peace, Love, Wisdom, and a Consciousness of Oneness—became integral to my spiritual growth. I realized that these teachings reinforced the powerful knowing that we are one with God (Divine Spirit), and that our conscious awareness of the Divine Presence within us is key to experiencing and expressing our true selves.

In the early 2000s, this spiritual calling inspired me to become a Licensed Unity Teacher. At the same time, I pursued further spiritual studies, earning a Bachelor of Arts in History from UC Berkeley, with a focus on European Christianity. Upon becoming a Licensed Unity Teacher in 2012, I began teaching classes, performing spiritual ceremonies, and sharing joy-filled messages at Unity of Walnut Creek and other Unity ministries.

Driven by an ongoing desire to deepen my spiritual growth, I took another step in my journey by becoming a Certified Life Coach. This certification empowers me to serve others with confidence, bringing a deep spiritual awareness to my coaching practice. In my work, I see each client as naturally creative, resourceful, and whole, and I focus on the whole person—heart, mind, body, and spirit. I hold sacred space for the unique spiritual truths and the conscious expression of Oneness that lives within each client.
